Republicans hate recycling
Tuesday is garbage day and I happened to notice that virtually every house with a McCain/Palin sign on our street did not have a recycle bin on the curb (seven or eight without, one with). Coincidence? Drill, baby, drill!

We used to recycle at the Haverwood house and then we stopped when we moved to the country where we no longer had a recycling service. Yes, I know, very lazy of us but it’s the truth. Now, we save our cans for my uncle’s church group to recycle to raise funds for their trip to Austria. A worthy cause that helps a family member as well as the environment and I don’t mind throwing my pop can in a bag for him instead of the trash. So, add one more Republican household to the number that recycle, at least cans!
Comment by Tabitha — October 21, 2008 @ 8:26 pmFor what it’s worth… I’m a Republican and I recycle so much that I even gather my Grandmother’s recyclable trash every couple of weeks and bring it home with me and put it in my Rosie, which is always fuller than the Herbie.
Comment by snadra — October 22, 2008 @ 9:55 amI actually pay to recycle here in Indy. We don’t have free recycling pickup. I pay to have my recyclables picked up weekly. I do not have a McCain sign in my yard even though I will be voting for him. I’m not a yard sign person.
